Voices of an Electrified Space
Classical voices transform the spaces they sound in. They can be large or small, soft or powerful, delicate, beautiful, and sensitive – even spectacular or overwhelming. Though unamplified, they travel through the space like electricity, touching the audience and charging them with new energy.
During this year's Opera Days, we reflect on this electrifying energy. We live in a world that is constantly connected: charged with information, stimuli, conflict, and uncertainty, but also with beauty, creativity, intimacy, and hope. Energy can be both positive and negative – it can bring us together, push us apart, or spark something unexpected.
We are all charged with experience, emotions, memories, expectations, hopes, and desires. When live voices resonate in spaces and meet other people, connections are formed—something is set in motion. At the festival, we invite guests to briefly disconnect from daily distractions, immerse themselves in live song, and experience how unamplified voices electrify a space.
