A scene from As one

As one is a chamber opera by Laura Kaminsky, composer and the librettists Mark Campell and Kimberly Reed in which two voices—Hannah younger and Hannah older—share the part of a sole transgender protagonist. In the performance version for Opera Days, a short excerpt from the piece, two singers will be sharing the part of "Hannah younger" and two of "Hannah older", all representing the sole transgender protogonist, before and after her transition.

The scene will be performed during the „Concert and conversations“ event where the audience will learn about various song and opera projects, all having something to do with inclusion and/or engaging a broader audience. The artists will be performing abstracts from various projects, and discussing the ideas and motivations behind them.
