Louise has a background in set design, costume and lighting design and has worked on both classical and new pieces at The Royal Opera in Copenhagen, The Danish National Opera, The Danish National Theatre, Melbourne Town Hall, Gothenburg Opera and most fringe theatres in Denmark. Since she graduated from Wimbledon School of Art in London, she has gradually moved into directing, and has both been staging productions for OPE-N and other companies. Beside her artistic work, she has been a project coordinator at NordScen and Head of the Scenography department at both The Danish National Theatre School in Copenhagen and Oslo National Academy of the Arts. Between 2013 and 2016, Louise held the position as Head of the Grant Committee of Performing Arts at the Danish Art Foundation. Since 2018, Louise Beck has held a position as a guest professor at Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch.
