Ólöf Ingólfsdóttir

Ólöf Ingólfsdóttir is the author, choreographer and performer of Something about Clouds. Ólöf graduated as a painter from Iceland College of Arts and Crafts in 1987, dancer from EDDC in Arnhem, The Netherlands 1993 and took her final exam in singing at Söngskóli Sigurðar Demetz 2021. She also holds a MA in Applied Culture and Communication from the University of Iceland 2016.
Ólöf had a long career in dance and theater. Among her works are Man is Always Alone (Íd 1999), Five Square Meters (Tjarnarbíó 2001), We Have Arrived (Íd 2006) and Domestic Dances (RDF 2007, Moderna dansteatern, Stockholm, 2009). Solo works include The Secret Life of a Wallflower (RDF 2003), Like Water (RDF 2010) and Seven Poems From an Unwritten Book of Poetry (FQD, Montreal 2023). In theatre Ólöf has been a choreographer, assistant director and performer and had a long affiliation with The Professional Amateurs and director Steinunn Knútsdóttir.
In May 2022 Ólöf gave a solo concert with works by Merula, Purcell and Vivaldi, accompanied by a string quartet and organist. She has performed solo arias with Seltjarnarneskirkja Chamber Choir in works by Bach and Heinichen.
