Graduale Liberi, Graduale Futuri and The Graduale Choir are part of the Langholtskirkja Choir School, which was founded in the autumn of 1991 by Jón Stefánsson, the church’s then-organist, who led the choir until his death in 2016. The goal of the school is to provide children and adolescents with musical education through systematic training of voice and ear with the aim of participation in choir activities. The choirs perform a wide variety of choral music, ranging from popular pieces to classical works and sacred music. Choir members participate in diverse projects, such as Litli tónsprotinn with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. Regular features of the program include Family Concerts in Langholtskirkja and the Jólasöngvar-concert along with Kór Langholtskirkju. The choirs regularly participate in choir festivals and concert tours, both domestically and abroad. About 70 children aged 7 to 18 years old sing in the choirs. The choir conductors are Björg Þórsdóttir and Sunna Karen Einarsdóttir.
