The 2024-2025 season for Baritone Colin Levin includes includes a return to Carnegie Hall in the premier of Loretta Notareschi's (US) Climate Mass with the New England Symphonic Ensemble, appearances in Edinburgh with Drake Music Scotland and Glasgow with Nordic Music Days in the world premier of the Digital Orchestra Baritone Song Cycle New Words/New Instruments/New Duos written for Levin including collaborating with composers Stuart MacRae (GB-SCT), Sigrid Anita Haugen (NO), Nino Håkansson (SE), and Stefan Sand (DK); the Cape Symphony Orchestra in Lord Nelson Mass and the Hudson Valley Symphony Orchestra in Messiah; Nordic art music recitals with the Summartónar Festival throughout the Faroe Islands, and a return to Victor Borge Hall at Scandinavia House in New York City, including North American art song premiers by Regin Dahl/Sunleif Rasmussen (FO).
Addition appearances include performances with the Við Djúpið Festival including the regional premier of Halldór Smárason's Song Cycle Fjallkonuljóð, Nordisk Sångfestival, the State Symphonic Orchestra of Michoacán, and major venues in the United States including Ozawa Hall at the Tanglewood Festival, the Caramoor Festival, and Jordan Hall in Boston, MA.
This season Levin creates three lead roles in world premier Operas in New York City: Doctor Wangel in Raymond Luedeke's (US) Lady from the Sea at Symphony Space/National Opera Center; the title role of Egon Schiele in Jared Schwartz's (US) Egon presented by the Neue Galerie New York; and Elisha Kent Kane in Michael Dellaira’s (US) Arctic Explorations as a co-production between the Cell Theater, New Amsterdam Singers, and the Harlem Chambers Players, which will be released in November 2025 on the Naxos Records Label.
He will be appearing with The International Edvard Grieg Society (IGS) in Bergen, Norway for a concert of Norwegian premiers.
