Auður Guðjohnsen

Auður Guðjohnsen is a singer, voice teacher, composer, and children’s choir conductor. She holds a voice teaching degree from the Reykjavík Academy of Singing and Vocal Arts, a postgraduate diploma in singing from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and an M.Ed. in arts education from the Iceland University of the Arts.

Auður has sung with renowned chamber choirs such as Barbörukórinn, Schola Cantorum, the Fríkirkjan singing group, and Cantoque Ensemble. She has composed over forty choral works and twenty songs for children, as well as arranged music for women’s, men’s, and mixed choirs.

In the spring of 2019, she published a children’s songbook, Tónlistin er þín (The Music Is Yours), featuring original lyrics and music. The book is available at tonafondur.com.
